Hi Barb & Sally, I have fed Nutra Nuggets Lamb & Rice (available at stores in the Kroger's chain, at Costco and some feed stores) for at least 10 years. I've tried switching to other more expensive brands including Nutro Max, Pro Plan, Exceed and Kirkland L&R, but I keep coming back to the Nutra Nuggets. They've changed the ingredients over the years & added some stuff I'm not crazy about, but those ingredients aren't in the top 5. I recently met someone that swears by Kirkland Chicken & Rice and am, once again, thinking about giving it a try, or mixing with the Nutra Nuggets, I pay between $18.50 & $20.00 for a 40# bag of Nutra Nuggets. I do have a couple of seniors that I feed the Eukanuba German Shepherd formula. The are dogs that have had problem (soft/runny) stools & they seem to do better with the Eukanuba. I also feed raw chicken quarters and/or chopped raw chicken, fresh raw eggs, oatmeal and add Super Fuel & Show Stopper, along with the kibble.
