:Now Kathy, people believe that processed bagged "kibble" with chemical
additives that keep the food from turning rancid for months and months is the
best diet for their dogs, they believe feeding a raw diet to a
domesticated carnivore is simply not the best way to feed their dogs....the
many
health problems related to our dogs over the past few decades is a simple
coincidence and NOT food related at all!......Columbus was right...the world
IS
flat...lol

Progress is not just a word. We had a good friend who worked for one of
the major dog food manufacturers. They spend actually millions of dollars a
year for research and development to find the most nutritious and best
possible food for animals. They had a major centre that did nothing but search
out the safest and best way to feed our dogs. They did not just try to
keep the shelf life up as Ed implies, and indeed, always listed what an
expiration date was for the food. They had a full staff of scientists working
40
hours a week, (I don't know how hard they worked, but I know they got paid
for full time), for just that purpose. They stood behind the food, and if
they were wrong they were sued.

Now, raw sounds great, after all didn't all animals used to eat raw?
Hell, even people did before we invented fire. (Well in fairness and to be
honest, I had nothing to do with the invention, but I admit to using it).
Then when you add in how we raise our food, with additives to make it plumper,
bring it to market faster, with the FDA, and other organisations the
federal government is also making us safe. Not so much our food chain.

I have faith in the major dog food companies. There are always problems
that will come up, even with our lettuce supply, and maybe feeding the dogs
kosher is smarter.

Everyone has an opinion. Our dogs at Asgard seem healthy, we don't have
much of a health problem, (not so much for me), and so I will continue on with
what works. Everyone else should do the same.
