[ SHOWGSD-L ] Dog Bath Saturday

As many of you remember, I received a Booster Bath for Christmas last year from
my better half.. This year for my birthday, he snuck behind my back and called
my mom and together they found a really nice cannister blower to dry dogs with
(I hate the idea of hotspots!).
Well, since I only have two GSDs and bathe a few Dals , I decided to start a
little side business - on the premiss that IF (BIG IF) I should get let go from
my job, I would have this as a back up.
I have had business all summer (with no promotion) but decided to do some
Saturdays this fall of all day dog bathing... The first one is on November
7th.. For $25.00 I do full bathing, nails and complete blow drying. For
multiple dogs it is $20.00.
I have spread the word and now posted on Craigslist (first time this morning)
and I already have seven spaces booked for that Saturday and several more
inquiries..
Let me tell you I think business is going to be BIG during the Holiday season...
Just goes to show, if you snoop around a bit, people are certainly willing to
spend the money on their doggies..And that is good to see since I sometimes
wonder when I see horrible posts about dogs..
BTW: I also have a deal for proven rescue dogs - $25.00, but hopefully $5.00 of
each will go to LHSH!!! or to Smokey the K9 Cop in our small town looking for a
bullet proofed vest.. Hopefully I will have lots for both!
