If that were the case, I would suggest taking baby steps toward our total
package perfect dog.? Add on the TC, a performance title, OFA/OVC, Health
(eyes, ears, heart etc.) over a period of time.?

Not necessarily.? If one of the requirements was that the dog or bitch have
gone Select 1, then if all the other requirements were met the Grand
Victor/Victrix title would be awarded.? It could mean, however, that no Grand
Victor/Victrix title would be awarded if the BOB/BOS did not meet all the
requirements.

Again, using the Obedience Victor/Victrix example.? There are years in which
there is only a High Combined not an OV.

If the GV titles were awarded independently of BOB & BOS, then we very well
could end up having a GV that was actually Select #10 achieve the GV title if
no others ahead of him met all the requirements.?? Right??

going BOB and BOS
at the National Specailty......
Ch. dogs and bitches who meet certain qualifying criteria:
Orthopedic clearances...
Eye clearances
Endocrine clearances (Thyroid and Pancreatic)
Also:
A performance title
Temperment certificate
AND
The number of Dogs deafeated in conformation through a set period of time.
say Oct. 1 to Sept. 30th......maybe with a minium of 5 different
Breeder judges.
Just a thought!
