Point missing is a true lost art.
If it takes 39 dogs for a major and 40 are entered, it is the same as if it
takes 20 to make a major and 21 are entered. It is percentages, not
number. Talk to those who finish dogs and see if anyone thinks it is easier
than it ever was. I have campaigned dogs for over 40 years now, and I find it
just as hard to finish a dog today as it was 40 years ago.
The number of entries are down, but the ability to finish is just as hard.
The only real difference I see is that we get home in time for dinner, we
can find parking places, and I have lots more gray hair.
