The way I see it we are all still newbies. I have had German Shepherds all
my life, but only have been interested in showing for the last few decades
(that might tell you how old I am). I am still learning, but I also have
found that you cannot start with a chip on you shoulder. It never hurts
to have a more humble approach. You never learn if you don't listen first.
If you do that almost everyone in this breed will lend a helping hand.

As still a newbie I hate to think the majority of us are being painted with
the same brush.
I have become a serious student of the breed thanks to the wonderful mentors
I have had, and who have become really close friends, Phil and Georgia
Miller, Hi-Lo Kennels. Not only wonderful people in life but fantastic and
very patient in teaching about GSD's :-)
I like to think I don't open my mouth over something I don't have any
knowledge of but I would like to think I have learned some lessons or two,
with many more to go.
I am enamored with dog structure and movement, form following function.
I have yet to be asked when giving my opinion what I have accomplished in
the breed. I'm betting my reaction would be complete shock and distaste.
Please don't paint all newbies with the same brush- we are out here to
learn, from various sources.
NO ONE knows it all--- it wouldn't be fun anymore if we did!
If I have something to add I do, if I have a question to ask I ask it, and I
believe it or not have great respect for those successful in any endeavor
they have worked hard to succeed in.
