I wish I had all the money the UKC exhibitors spend on their motor homes and
travel expenses for those "match shows". UKC has a Premiere Show (like AKC
has Westminster) each year, that is huge and well attended. No, it is not
televised but lots of entries and vendors. UKC has Top 10 in each breed.
And, UKC is the 2nd oldest dog registry in the United States. Some breeds are
not well respresented but I am finding the same issue in AKC, based on
infodog.com catalogs. And, in some breeds, the entries are all owned by the
same one or two people but it really depends on where the show is.
Yes, the atmosphere is relaxed like a "match show".
