Here we are at the dog show. I couldn't get away on Friday, so I flew up
this morning. I see a lot of friends here, and Bill Basu is going back in the
ring for first time since the surgery. Debbie Kaser is here, and I see
Carolyn
and Frank Martello are here with a good looking young male.
Flower boy came by, but he has the flu, and is very pale. I did talk to the
Guz for just a minute, and I am sitting wih The Famous Linda Battistoni, who
has a young sable bitch. Very nice lookiing.
I got to see a new young male that Richard and Liz Sottile have here, not to
show. He is a super star, and I hear he is two times Reggie, wo what would we
expect? Sharon Avery is here with Michael, and now is talking to Ben
Bigornia. I did talk to Mike and Twyla has a male that should do well. He
won
both days last weekend, but we will see. The entry is a major, but who
knows
what will happen.
Teressa Royer is here and has a number of dogs to show. I got to hug both
Cappie and Gloria so it is already a good weekend for me. Either I am too
old,
too thin, or too wimpy, but ti is cold. I think it is about 45 with a wet
wind. Sharon and Amy are here, and they told me I am doing the barbequ at
the
shows up North, so I guess I will.
Art Sinclair came over to say hello, and I got to talk for a minute with
Bobby Kinde. I think that is her super champion bitch with her. I notice
that
Paul and Jennifer Root are working the crowd,a nd the park ranger is talking
to Paul and Ben Bigornia and everyone is laughing, so that is a good sign.
Pam O'Dell is here, and I understand she has transfered back to California.
She has a great bitch, and if she is showing her, I expect she will win. I
saw
her in Los Angeles, but maybe she is already finished. I talked to Dorothy
Lynn, and she never seems to age.
Flower Boy has a great looking puppy, an Army son. He is entered but not
being shown, and seems like he will be a star.

It was a great show, the judging was perfect, (well, almost perfect). I
will always enter under Ed, and in thirty years when I am no longer showing,
I
will go to watch him judge. He is consistant, knows what is right, and picks
the best ones, all the time.
It was good to see Paul Root looking so strong, and Bill Basu back in the
ring. The shows aren't the same without Gloria Rice a Sharlonna, and without
Jack Newton, Tom and Vivian Brown, and Lis Leshhorn. Liz is redoing the
kitchen,
but the rest have no excuses.
It is good to see Loretta White back to the shows, and smiling again, but I
do miss Daroll and Ray Jacobs. They were the heart of these shows.
I could only type a bit at the show, it was too cold, and when I got back to
the room, I fell asleep. I need to train a younger person to do this. Now
I know why we were supposed to have kids.
On to tomorrow.
