Joan's mentioning the temperament test with her broom made me laugh...and it
brought back a memory of Tom Castriota..............also a laugh.
Years ago, and I do mean years ago, I was judging Shepherds at an
all-breed show in New York...I think it was about 95 degrees at 8:30 in the
morning, with humidity to match. The men were all dripping with sweat and
we girls were glowing........
as I bent forward over each dog, a bead of "glow" would fall off my nose
onto the dog's face....Tom C announced to anyone within earshot that I'd
invented my own temperament test!
I remember nothing else about that day except that I wore a pink
dress........not who won, not who else was there...nothing. Just that it
was awfully, awfully hot and muggy....too hot to go about swinging a
broom............a broom's a better test, tho
