When I was a child........
Yes, being in a high school is dangerous, for everyone. Students are at risk
from other students, teachers, who are not by defination feared, are in danger
from students.
I was in a very 'good' public school in Montgomery County Maryland. And
there was bad stuff. It only take 2 to 4 really bad kids, but they are in
every school. There is no escaping drugs in the schools, even private schools.
And it only takes one day with the wrong kind of drugs to turn life into a
nightmare.
I was harrassed in school, I did not have nearly as much to say as I do now.
And I see where my kids sometimes get harrassed, in a private school.
Fortunitly in the private school nothing is as bad as the public school, here
at least. But it can and does happen.
My son knows where the kids go to get high. He stays away, he is convienced
that drugs are for adults, legal and illegal. I will take that as a blessing.
I don't trust my younger son though. And he starts high school next year.
This school brings in drug dogs now and then, and they usually catch someone.
I warn my kids that it had better not be them.
Here too I have a unique opinion, I won't go into it.
But to make it dog related more, the dogs were at the high school this past
week. I do not think they found anything, but you never know.
However, the dog is only as good as his trainer.....
