I never knew his sire had some problems with his rear end. The pick male died, but this one, so special, had a full transfusion, and lived. His coat was covered with white hair, and we nicknamed him Speckles. We went through everything to find out what was going on. The vet, after a lot of x-rays and vet bills, we found two bad discs. After the vet told us it was cancer, we got a second opinion, the same thing. They said to take off his leg. The third time they diagnosed Valley Fever. So, he was on medication. Tedi did it mostly, and then she started to have hip problems, maybe from lifting the dog, maybe not. Tedi had two hips replaced, and we continued to walk the dog. I would take him with the towel and walk, and walk and walk. That went on for a year or so. I had to go to work, so I met Tedi at the vet, and I sat on the floor in my suit and tie, with his head in my lap, as he took his last breath.
