Hi Michelle, I do not get what kind of "money" is being "spent" on a
possible change in a DQ? WE, the GSDCA DO have a fund for Juniors, please
check
with Evan about this, indeed the on line location is listed at the bottom of
each of his posts. Also, you have NO IDEA how much through the many many
(100 for GSDCA alone) all kinds of work has been and is being done toward
health issues - check with Morgan Lewis about this one, he has been doing
far more on this than you could imagine. Oh, you may be a Newby, so please
look into these things. Are you a GSDCA member, if not even just your
dues would help with some stuff concerning the GSD! BTW, IF the white
becomes an OK thingy, it would certainly mean MORE - $$s in just show
entries alone!!! Through the years, Speakers have been very evident at
shows put on constantly by local clubs all over this country. ENJOY! Norma

Does anyone know how much it cost to put the white issue in the round of
voting (I know there was already a mailing going out, but they still had to
be counted and printed) and how much will this next white/coat change to the
standard cost us? Is there not a better use of funds? It would seem the
membership has already made its opinion very clear about what they think of
whites. Why is money being spent on this and not on research on many of the
health issues that plague our breed? Or on a scholarship fund to get juniors
to the national? Or arranging speakers who are knowledgeable on the relevant
health issues to hold seminars at next year's nationals? Everyone has their
opinion and they are entitled to it... but this endeavor appears to be yet
another money pit that the club doesn't need.
