1000 GSD's??? Not at Crufts, neither at the Garden. The Crufts total
entries is usually in the 20,000+,
and for a while now, the Garden's total entries is around 2,500, this year
right over 2,600, and 12 GSD's.
I don't believe there has ever been an entry of 1000 German Shepherd
Dogs..........that would be cool, but wishful thinking.
Trivia question: When was the last US National with entries of 1000, or
close?
Keep in mind that there are breeds of dogs shown at Crufts that are not AKC
recognized.......is over 300 different breeds. The sporting breeds usually
have the biggest entries, Labradors had over 120 entries in recent years.
Yorkies are very popular too.....but I have never seen any breed with 1000
entries.
