I wrote some time ago, and reminding you all, that this is the next
step the HSUS will take for our dogs. He (Pacelle) is going after
breeders who breed more than a few litters, then going after those.
He had his sights set on PureBred dogs right after PDE came out, as he
saw the PR value, publicity and donations that he could derive from it.
If you take the time to read some of the more rabid Facebook pages (or
forums if you don't like Facebook), you can see a mindset that is
verrrry scary. The sites that attract good breeders, intelligent
posters usually are around 7-900... The rabid pages go up into the
thousands. They will push organizations like AVMA (yes, they are
being pushed) and the politicians to "demand" that we change our
standard to their demands.... and further, to stop breeding those
'deformed' breeds.
Humane Watch is a rare one that has thousands of fans and lots of good
information.
