I have little "situation" that I could use some advice on <g>!! I was rudely
awakened this morning by a "critter" trying to escape from underneath my
bathroom sink. "IT" was banging on the cabinet door to get out. Quite
frankly, I didnt know I could get out of bed so fast and exit my room!! This
would be an easy problem to solve if I were married <g>, but since Im just a
chicken women by myself....the first thing I could think of was to go get my
biggest "Man of the House" (thanks Kid!) and put him in my room in case that
sucker got out of the cabinet. Although, the thought of blood on my white
carpet if he caught the thing did horrify me a little LOL. I left Kid on guard
while I found my clothes so I wouldnt freeze to death, then I propped my
clothes hamper up against the cabinet door to try to think this through <g>.
SomeTHING has come up through my wall. I heard it in the wall the other day
and feared it would get through this hole in my sheetrock in my bathroom
(apparently left there by a plumber sometime ago). Not that Im paranoid or
anything <g>, but it sounds larger than a field mouse. Maybe more like a
squirrel or heaven forbid a RAT...EKKKKK!!! Anyone have any ideas on the best
way to get this thing out? I know I could let him out and the dogs would
probably get him...but that could be messy <g>. I surely dont want the thing
dying in my wall...how bad would that smell (and just in time for my holiday
party!) Is this the kind of thing you call an exterminator for? I guess my
friendly neighborhood rat snakes are hibbernating right now and didnt get this
thing before it got into the house (oh sheesh, theres another scarey thought,
if this thing could get in...whats stopping the snakes!) .
I think I may have an answer after typing all this...Im putting the house up
for sale immediately. Unless....someone has a less drastic suggestion.
