Hey all, I have yet another ponderance.
What is your take on using credit cards to purchase puppies? On the one
hand, it seems to kind of cheapen the purchase, even though by law, when we
sell
pups, we are selling property.

My view is: It allows people that cannot afford $1000 outright to get their
baby. I mean, you still get paid right? And I know lots of breeders feel that
"If you can't afford $1000 for a puppy how can you afford its care?", but
that line of thought really doesn't work, because, aside from the initial clump
of bills (for the vet check and the shots), the dog's bills for care are spread
throughout it's life. It can be REALLY hard for somebody looking for their
first well bred dog to afford that.

They can afford the care, but when you put a big $1000 right in with the rest
of it's initial care in the first week, well, it can give you a big ouch and
cause you to worry.

Anyway, your thoughts please?

 - Jackie
