I got the same call last night too and YES I keep the bags! Basically for that
purpose and if need be they can be used for garbage. My first bag purchased,
when I had switched from Taste of the Wild to Natures Domain, was between those
dates. Dogs are alive and fine, all food purchased after that was dated beyond
the Jan 31st date. The message from Costco did say "as a precautionary measure"
bring the unused food back for a full refund. I did put a call into Diamond but
they were closed till Monday. My bags also were distributed from WA, not SC. As
of now, I will continue using the food, observe my dogs, check dates and keep
up with the information available.

Got a message tonight from Costco?? Saying the Diamond dog food sold
under Kirkland could have problems. Salmonella! The Kirkland Signature
line. The message gave two "best before"dates Dec 9, 2012 and Jan 31, 2013
(WHO keeps the bags???) and a number to call (1-866-918-8756) which, of
course, no one answers at night on weekends. Also, a web site
(_www.DiamondPetrecall.com_ (http://www.DiamondPetrecall.com) ) Any one else
get a call??
Right now I am over half way through a bag and no sick dogs and have no
more on hand.
