[ SHOWGSD-L ] Copper Bowls and Bitches in season

So I heard something that I thought was rather ridiculous today.
Somebody claimed that if you feed a bitch out of a copper bowl, it will stop
her seasons, and you continue to feed her out of the copper bowl until you
want to breed her and then she'll start coming in again. They said it also
works on horses.
Now, the logical person in me says that this is absolute folly, but if
anybody can expound and perhaps prove me wrong, I would be interested in
hearing it.
