I am going to look into the Natures Farmacy site.
 
In the mean time. I have a local food here that is chilled in a refrigerator in 
the markets. It must be used in 5 days.
Each pouch feeds a 50 to 70 lb. dog and contains:
9 oz. of beef
7 oz. of fresh chicken
3 oz. of liver
1 egg
3 oz. of ground oats
2 oz. of vegetables
18 vitamins and minerals.
 
Hey.... and no chopping, cooking, or cleaning up!

Thanks for an interesting thread.....  I feed raw to 3 adults, and Eagle
pack kibble plus raw to pups.  The raw includes veggies that have been
through a food processor, plus cooked sweet potatos, rice, or soaked
oatmeal.  I use the Natures Farmacy diet, which is on their
website...Actually you can do their diet raw or cooked...whatever you feel
comfortable with......my raw includes ground beef, ground venison, chicken,
thighs,chicken backs, canned salmon, canned mackerel, sardines, boiled eggs
(with the shell), cottage cheese, and organ meat...chicken hearts, liver,
and gizzards.  

A homemade diet, or supplementing kibble with homemade extras is not
difficult...For me it was like jumping off the diving board...For a long
time, I wanted to "jump" but was afraid...The Nature's Farmacy
diet gave me
a guideline that I felt comfortable with...  One of the questions I had for
them was....how do you know your dog is getting a completely balance diet
everyday?   Their answer was....Is your own diet completely balanced
everyday?   (haha...no)  The body can "survive" if things aren't
completely balanced every day (like the dog food companies preach)....It's
the overall picture that counts.

Thank you for your great response!
Interesting, isn't it?  I remember my family feeding puppies exclusively on
cottage cheese, eggs, beef....the dogs had
many ,many leftovers...and all lived robustly, and long lives.
Maybe it's the food, maybe its too many vaccines?  maybe...on and on...but
our dogs health, as with our own is very heavily dependent of what they eat.

I find it very interesting when I go to "the park"  (my name for the
gates
of hell, lol) when there is coyote poo..it is full of berries of somekind
and flowerets from the local flora.  It is generally broken down and
disappears within 48 hours.
However the domestic dog poo, stays...and stays and stays...for WEEKS.
Scary, seriously...preservatives?  I don't know, but it is not only not
broken down, it remains virtually unchanged .
