Yup....but I knew that before the trials, about a year+ before in fact.
True story. Got a call from Dean, mid day on a work day, Dan Yee was on his
way to Philly, meeting the German judges who were flying in. Looking at
the facility, tracking field and who knows what else.
Dan called asking that "we" "do something" for the judges.
Dean called me...I thought of some GSDCA stuff, we have luggage tags,
pretty cool, some other GSDCA stuff from the web site, baskets done up etc.,
something nice for their hotel rooms...remember, this was very last minute,
scramble, scramble...NOPE, per Mr. Yee, nothing w/ GSDCA logo...(so I'm
thinking...knowing the money commitment...kiss my a**),.....so I suggested they
call the hotel concierge and have the concierge arrange a gift basket for
each room, which they did, Philly soft pretzels, Tastykakes etc. AND I
WASHED MY HANDS.
So yup, writing on the wall....
