For me, it would just be easier to have them return the dog and give them their money back. I've done this a couple times in 30+ years. Don't let your ego ("since to return the purchase price is admitting it is congenital") get in the way of doing what is right for your puppy. Some dog owners are just idiots--I wouldn't want a puppy of mine with them! Penny in NC The Farm Dog I refuse to bend at this point, since to return the purchase price is admitting it is congential, which it clearly is not just theirs but their vets ignorance. Mind you if it was hip dysplasia, I would have no issue with their request, but as she said bone xrays wise the ortho said he had excellent hips. Also, I can just see her boyfriend ask for TWICE the price later, since NJ law states that consumers are able to ask for TWICE th price back to cover future expenses (such as rehab that he wanted to do).
