AOL EmailI thank you very much for thanking me. It has been my pleasure to
be involved this way and I wish the best to Laura as she takes the reins.
My point though with my post was the German Shepherd Dog is still a most
popular breed with the average citizen. Many buyers though need help and yes
Christmas time is a very busy time with many wanting to buy a GSD for
someone. When they call me and plan to get one for their 4 yr old I explain
why the dog should be a family dog and a four year old isn't old enough.
Then I suggest dog books and dog toys the child can look at and play with.
The adults will be the owners of the dog, not a 4 yr old.
For older people I suggest books, leads, etc and a promise to go together
to pick out the puppy as soon after Christmas as posible. Now and then a
Christmas Day puppy is a correct decision but usually not.
NOW ON ANOTHER note my cat is trying to run UP my Christmas tree! Should I
let a dog in????
