[ SHOWGSD-L ] Children

I always watched how the kids behaved not only around the dogs but in my
house. Watched the parents reactions to the kids also. Many a time I told
them no puppy for your family. Also had one policeman with his live-in. He
was a charm but his girlfriend was something else. The questions about
German Shepherds were more accusations than questions. They left and when
he called me later to say that he really wanted a dog I was very cagey and
it finally came out that his so intelligent girlfriend was a hair dresser
who had consulted her clients about German Shepherds...not one a dog owner!!
Needless to say my answer was no dog for you. Bless his heart he totally
understood...I always hoped he dumped her !!!
