All is well on the hill!
FEROCIOUS winds for 12+ hours, I honestly thought the floor to ceiling
windows were coming in. A french door off the sunroom (locked and bolted)
actually did blow in but no real damage. I still have to walk the entire
fence line, too windy still yesterday. A lot of branches down, the ground is
literally strewn. My sister lost some siding. No one in my family (3 in Bucks
County PA, me in Berks County PA) has power, parents have no phone but the
cell towers are still up so we can reach them.
When I called in the outage they said my area wasn't even on the schedule
last PM, so expecting 4-7 days like last year's freak October snow storm.
I have a generator so I am running that off and on to keep food cold and
using space heaters & the fireplace. Had to go quite a way for more gas last
PM and wow, it sure is odd in the evening w/o a bit of light in the
neighborhoods.
The little bit of nuisance until the power goes on is nothing compared to
what so many others are experiencing.
