To draw an analogy
I get mailing labels from the VETS (the labels have the wrong name and I would
not use them),
but every year I send them a Check anyway. Let's say I write a check fo $20 as
a donation, and
the labels are a gift from them for that donation. I deduct the $20, not the
1.50 the labels are
worth.
The trust was set up so people AND BUSINESSES could make TAX Deductable
