[ SHOWGSD-L ] Changing the by law's controversy

I have read a number of posts relating to "changing the by laws." Please re
read Lew's message below! Lew is simply asking AKC for advice and a decision
as it relates to the By Laws Article IV, Section 3. This request may allow us
to have a fair election where all voices can be heard. ( He is asking for a
temporary change to a specific section of the by laws in order to find a
solution to the Ballot Company's huge error.)
Am I missing something or is this a great thing to do?

"However, the GSDCA Bylaws, Atricle IV, Section 3 clearly states our election
must be completed one week prior to the Annual Meeting. On September 21, 2007;
the GSDCA Executive Committee met and by unanimous decision voted to contact
the American Kennel Club for permission to suspend the GSDCA Bylaws for the
purpose of calling a Special Board Meeting without ten days notice and for the
purpose of redoing the GSDCA Election to correct the mistakes contained in the
recently mailed BRE."
