Hi Bob,
While it might level the playing field a little bit, I see this as being
cumbersome and possibly costly for member clubs who have to replace said
judges, possibly on short notice.
Also, were the club in a position to replace a judge, it might be difficult
to find one who had not judged in a year. I doubt the "alternates" would
agree not to judge for a year just in case we needed to call one up to bat.
I think six months is fair enough.

While the handlers four month rule has been all the rage of late.
The question came up at the North East Futurity "What about the 6 =
month rule for those elected to judge our National Specialty".
Many felt the 6 month rule should be increased to one year.
In other words if judging the National Specialty is that important =
to you, then once your named is announced you should give up any =
scheduled assignments and not accept new ones for that coming year. I =
would like feed back from the list. Either private or on here.
