Delta should have a new slogan for pets....."We'll get them there......most of
the time". Come to think of it...that would work great for the passengers too.
It might eliminate some liability for them if they are just honest right up
front. :o)

Having shipped and received a several dogs in the last 18 mos. Here are my
observations. Take it as you will.
I have dealt with American, Delta and Northwest Airlines. American and
Northwest were the least expensive for shipping pets. After check-in the crates
were secured with ties to prevent the dog from escaping during transit or in
flight. The ties are cut by airline personnel upon destination. Delta was the
most expensive and did not take the same precautions. When I received my pup,
the bottom of the crate was not secure. Had she not been so young, who
knows......
The measures taken by the other 2 airlines are very simple, cheap and
effective. So, what is Delta's excuse?
