[ SHOWGSD-L ] Cataracts in puppies

I have a puppy in rescue that has cataracts. Anyone ever had anything like
this. Had the dog to a Canine Ophthalmologist and she put him on eye drops
and re-check in 3 months. The Dr. said may be on the meds for as much as a
year or may have to have surgery.
Did it dissolve, did they have to have surgery, what was the outcome?
