What I find more shameful is professional handlers/breeders/owners campaigning,
and promoting for public stud, dogs that test homozygous for DM.
Anyone who has ever seen the ravages of this hereditary disease would NEVER put
these puppies into pet, show, or breeding homes.
This game we play to feed our egos is not as nice as some would want to believe.

Why is it that we don't see more GSD's with their OFA for cardiac? Since most
heart defects are thought to be genetically transmitted wouldn't it seem to be
a good tool to use? It seems almost shameful there are only 702 GSD's in the
OFA database. Esp when there are low cost clinics available. THOUGHTS ON THE
SUBJECT...
