Nope! Several years ago I had a male GSD from American and German
show lines. Got his UKC Ch in one weekend, owner handled. Got a
handful of reserves on him in Canada when he was a puppy,
owner-handled, so when he was 2 I hired an all-breed handler who
finished him in 4 shows and then got 3 BOB, a Group 3, and a Group 1
on him. At that time he had been shown in AKC shows a bunch of times
and had a handful of reserves but no points. I did find that a bit
funny, he was a Group Winner in Canada (handled by an all-breed
handler from the US) and had zero points down here. Did get 4 AKC
points on him eventually, 2 of the points I put on him myself....his
last show he got a point and BOB, and we actually got pulled in the
group! By then he was 7 and I decided to call it a day. Not an AKC
Ch, but definitely not "pet quality."
