I suspect there would have been quite a few individuals very worried about
their liability given the statement below.
We do not require our board members to be lawyers and I would expect them to
trust those who are "in the know" about club coverage and board members'
liability.
I trust the club's insurance is taken care of -- or serving this club could be
assuming quite a personal liability.

JAN. 2007 BOARD MINUTES
Insurance Committee - Dan Smith
Bill Pfieffer reported on the progress of efforts to increase the
limits on the D&O Coverage to $2 million, is encountering some issues with the
agent, the agent had reported that the club had insufficient assets to
warrant those limits. Bill said that Dan was still working on it. Bill
stated
that Dan wants Board members to make sure they are covered with personal
umbrella coverage in case someone sues the entire board by name and D&O
doesn't cover it.

With the upcoming elections and all the 'debate' that's bound to occur, I
would suggest all members look up the 'facts' as recorded in the Board
Minutes, the answers are there. Any and all issues that our club has had to
deal
with requiring Board attention is documented in the minutes. The facts of
what transpired on club issues are there leaving no room for hearsay.
Basically they are one of the most accurate forms of our club's history. JMO
