I didn't say genetics don't play a roll in canine deaths at all.
If I had to guess about the percentages of canine deaths due to GI
issues, it would be somewhere between 5-10%

cancer in
their lifetime, and that almost one-half of dogs over the age of 10

die from cancer"
That's a bit sobering, and I would say you probably could rule out
genetics.
