[ SHOWGSD-L ] Can the GSDCA President show dogs at our National?

Bill Burgraaff -- I just had another phone call asking me the same
question you did. Question-"-Is there any rule that prevents the GSDCA
President
from exhibiting a dog they bred/own at our National. So I'll post my answer
to you, and everyone . Number one --I don't believe there is anything in
the P&P or By Laws regarding this question. Number two--. I do know that it
just ISN"T DONE, and never has been. We've had many Presidents who had
top dogs,and were active exhibitors, Bill Collins,Harry Schneider,Harold
Sands,Bob Reuter. And I know the four years I was President ,I suspended ANY
breeding or exhibiting. The job that the GSDCA President has to do is a big
one, and there is no time, frankly, for personal things like breeding and
exhibiting And at the National, you are the head person that answers all
questions. And believe me,you are busy constantly with taking photos ,of all
conformation and performance wins. So the answer is No the GSDCA
President doesn't exhibit dogs at our National, Helen Miller Fisher
