Oh heavens... I have lost track of the numbers. I have pulled, transported,
held on to for a day or three (while waiting for transport), taken to the vet,
more than 50 dogs... all in the last 1 1/2 year. I have two rescues here that
have become permanent I guess. Summer, who you've read about... and Chester.
Chester is a sweet sweet boy... but he doesn't do well with other dogs. He is
great with people, just not other dogs. He will no doubt end up being here
permanently, but he is really easy to take care of. I just wish ALL my dogs
were as easy, LOL!
It was a GA State Ag Inspector that got me into this, LOL.. it is all her
fault. She raises Corgis and had this one GSD that was a Katrina rescue.... she
contacted me (knowing I had GSDs from the pet-law list) when she had to go into
the hospital to have her baby and I took the dog... the rest is history :D

I am a Last Hope Board member and my first pull was in August 2006 with a
senior boy named GUY who was a owner turn in and was going to be put down
that day. Since then I have PULLED, TRANSPORTED, EVAULATED REHOMED several
dogs.
There are several LH members who have pulled and re-homed dogs.
Maybe we can get the total count...
I have a eight year old girl here from a well known breeder who DID NOT
want her back and DID NOT offer any help on her last day before being put down.
She is blind in one eye and very healthy for her age, but she is dog
aggressive. She would make someone a great dog without other pets. BUT she will
stay
here till that right home comes along.....
The problem now with rescue is we need more FOSTER homes :-(
