Terry who is really in a cabin in the woods but not a lick of snow to be seen
anywhere. I may be doing the eastern snow dance. :0) I will change the music

Subject: [ SHOWGSD-L ] Cabin fever (or my dogs are on crack)
After last winter I was elated! to hear the Farmers Almanac predicted this
year's winter to be "milder and kinder".......liars....
Of course, I would've made the best of any winter if I was standing up
with two useful legs, but alas, that was not to be the case.
So....my dogs are sick of it. The ice, the wetness, the cold, the not going
to the park, I can see it in their faces ...... they are sick of it. By
the way, the snow is ok, they like the snow....they LOVE the snow.
For a little demonstration this evening, all the dogs are laying around in
the family room, staring each other down, growling, trying to pick fights,
which by the way, are not allowed. The cats went upstairs, they can smell
trouble a mile away.
So Huckleberry is barking at Doc Holliday, Jackie is barking at the two of
them.....repeat....repeat....repeat.
Finally, Bunny (aka The Boss) jumps down from her recliner (you read rig
ht) and slowly stretches and start walking toward the center of the room,
where all the commotion is happening......
Here I witnessed a full display of total power, a display that would make
most world leaders incredibly jealous.
The red sea parts....everyone takes back to their allowed
spots....<g>.....peace and quiet once again....and she climbs back on her
recliner (yup,
you read that right again) turns around a couple of times, and makes herself
comfortable to finish her nap.
Those are the most effective 16 pounds of fur I have ever seen.
Of course, Dexter, being the perfect dog that he is, he was just laying
next to my chair, watching it all come down. He really wanted to go upstairs
to chase the cats, but was keeping me company. He helps me stand up and
takes his job very seriously.
I am looking forward to their daily park outings as much as they are.
