I have tried blowing lightly into their noses.
Have also done rubbing with a towel for extended periods of time.
Have also done (WHILE HOLDING BODY AND HEAD SECURELY with both hands )
"slinging the puppy (head
pointing away from) downward as if to centrifuge any mucous out of the pup's
air passage.
Success rates have varied. I resuscitated a pup for almost 30 min and it has
made it.
I have heard you can take a Qtip dipped in coffee and place it at the back of
their tongue. The caffeine is
supposed to stimulate breathing. I have never tried this.

I'm looking for some suggestions and your ideas about CPR for newborns that are
not breathing and also for ones that are breathing but not strongly.
What methods have worked for you, and which didn't. How long would you continue
CPR on a newborn that was not breathing upon being born. And anything else
you'd care to add!
