Yesterday the California Organization of Police and Sheriffs (COPS) joined
the opposition to AB 1634. They have hand delivered their opposition
letter to B&P Committee members.
Quoting from the COPS website:
"Today, COPS represents the interests of over 100,000 peace officers and
their families and over 1,000,000 citizen members in California, Nevada,
and Hawaii. We provide the "best in the nation" legal defense and labor
representation to peace officers. COPS also works in Sacramento, California
and Washington, D.C. to support peace officers and their families, making
our state safer and our citizens more secure. We are working hard to put
the "public" back into public safety."
I have received a request that everyone go to http://cops.cc/about/contact
and thank COPS for taking a stand in opposition to AB 1634 and request that
COPS notify their Citizen Members about this bill.
