I've registered dogs in Canada before, but this time my application was returned. It said that the microchip implanted in my dog did not meet the Canadian Standard requirements for registration purposes. My dog must be reidentified with a microchip that is accepted by the CKC. I have the HomeAgain microchip. Has anyone else had this problem. I can't remember, but are there 2 kinds of AKC registrations for showing in conformation/obedience and one for dogs that will be bred in Canada. Does one not require a microchip?
