A 4.4 magnitude near Westwood, CA with a couple of 2.5 aftershocks. Enough
to get your attention if you are in the area.
My dogs don't seem to pay much attention to earthquakes. They are used to
the small ones and haven't been through a big one. The first indication I
get is the birds being startled into the air a few seconds before I feel it.

I was on my way to work, and the newscasters were talking about it.
You have to understand. In Southern California when we have an earthquake
it is like in Michigan when earth worms come out after the rain. It isn't
anything we even stop to discuss. And, as far as I know, none of my animals
noticed it. It was about 10 miles from the house.
