My god, I sure hope that is not the only criteria to measure the viability a
prospective stud dog may have for your breeding program
Again, a good dog is a good dog, and he doesn't know from when-st he came.
Your job as a breeder is to understand your bitches pedigree in great
detail(the good and the bad) covering all aspects of the breed and standard.
Then use that same scrutiny when choosing her mates, complimenting her
strengths, overcoming her weaknesses both phenotypically and genotypically,
To do this you must understand both her and the studs pedigrees in depth(a
minimum of five generations, and their litter mates if possible) .
