In Frederick, Maryland at a hotel. The hotel is always booked full, and the
dog people have to stay at other local hotels. Part of the parking lot is
blocked off for handler campers and trucks.

Conformation judging is on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. 4 days
of judging! And, they run two conforamtion rings at the same time. For this
show, handlers hire additional assistants to cover their entries because they
could be in two different rings at the same time. And, yes it it outdoors.
They show in the rain, too. Last year, they had a thunderstorm on the last
day and had to stop the judging until the storm and high winds passed.
Yes, it is the largest Labrador show in the World. And, it is fun.

ast LRCP show I went to it was pouring rain the whole
ime.
It should be noted that the LRC of the Potomac specialty show, while
efinitely NOT the National, is the largest show for Labrador Retrievers in
he world...it has always been a fun event, with Labrador owners and
reeders from all over the world attending.

There are 1041 dogs with 40 obedience dogs and 64 rally dogs entered in
this Specialty Show & Trials with
a total entry of 1508, including 46 obedience entries and 79 rally
entries.
2010 LRCP Specialty
There are 1042 dogs entered in this Specialty Show & trials with a total
entry of 1510, including 70 obedience
entries and 85 rally entries.

haring with the List. Unfortunately, entries don't close until March 30.
Our local labrador Club - Not PC - so this is a specialty and not the
national,
as an entry of over 500 Labradors every year. I am thinking last year was
lmost 1000 but don't hold me to that. The Labrador National doesn't have
that
arge of an entry.
Why so many at a specialty show? The club members have worked very hard
to
uild up their reputation of having one heck of a show! Here is the link
