Here are the numbers from 2009 and 2010 LRCP Specialty (not National)
2009 LRCP Specualty
There are 1041 dogs with 40 obedience dogs and 64 rally dogs entered in this
Specialty Show & Trials with
a total entry of 1508, including 46 obedience entries and 79 rally entries.
2010 LRCP Specialty
There are 1042 dogs entered in this Specialty Show & trials with a total entry
of 1510, including 70 obedience
entries and 85 rally entries.

I was trying to wait until I was able to get an exact entry number before
haring with the List. Unfortunately, entries don't close until March 30.
Our local labrador Club - Not PC - so this is a specialty and not the national,
as an entry of over 500 Labradors every year. I am thinking last year was
lmost 1000 but don't hold me to that. The Labrador National doesn't have that
arge of an entry.
Why so many at a specialty show? The club members have worked very hard to
uild up their reputation of having one heck of a show! Here is the link to

Just look at the fun / social things they have planned. They start on Monday,
nd finish up on Friday. Something going on each night, so people can relax and
ave some fun. They bring in judges from all over the world. Breeders, owners
nd handlers come from all over to attend. The show is the same week,a nd the
ame place every year. No rotating show sites throughout the U.S., yet they
ome.
They have seminars, health clinics, vendors, international party, etc. This
ear, they are adding a fun match for puppies.
Just some thoughts on how to build up the National.
