She would enjoy being involved with showing dogs (she is a groomer and owns a Sheltie). Her question is "why are baby strollers not allowed?" IF we want to support and encourage young families to be interested in the sport of dog showing it seems reasonable to make it do-able for them. Baby strollers for a young baby make it do-able. Among the many brochures that AKC has available for people to pick up at shows, they have one that specifically addresses strollers. Why not strollers? Because people with strollers can run over dogs tails. Some dogs are not kid proof and the kids are at risk at a strollers height to get bit in the face. These are two of the reasons (good ones in my eyes) why strollers are discouraged or even disallowed at some shows.
