I'm not trying to defend mass breeders, but since the K kennels were
mentioned in Barbara's post, I decided to relate my experiences visiting two
of the K kennels...
Paulette wrote glowing reports of the two "K" Kennels she visited and I will
write a glowing report of Woodside Kennels, where
I recently stayed for a few weeks. Not only is the kennel spotless, dogs
well fed, happy, professionally groomed weekly, exercised, trained and
loved, but they all get to run and play in turn, on three beautiful acres of
grass and trees. Many of our very best and most beautiful important dogs
come from large breeders and we need to be grateful to them for they dogs
they do and have produced. This year's judges of both the U.S. and Canadian
Nationals, Covy-Tucker Hill Kennels, are and were a large producing kennel
that gave us top dogs as well.
Most of us, including myself, prefer not to have many dogs, but hats off to
those that do and also do a good job of it. I thank
them for the incredible animals they have given us to have in our pedigrees
and the amazing amount of work and dedication
it takes for them to do it as well as they have. Their work is 24/7 and we
are the beneficiaries.
