Werner......yes I do believe that the breeder is responsible for this dog. I
have an EPI dog and they are expensive to keep. At the least I think that the
people should either be offered some monetary compensation to help pay for
the medication that dog will need for the rest of it's life this or offered
another puppy. Nichole had nine puppies in her litter. At three years old she
was diagnosed with EPI. I proceeded to call every person who had purchased a
puppy from that litter to tell them about Nichole. Fortunately she was the only
one with EPI in that litter. I was glad that it was the puppy that I kept
instead of one that I sold. I then took the sire and dam OUT of the breeding
program. But that probably is not going to happen with the GV who is the sire
of this dog that you are talking about. But it should. The only way that we as
breeders are going to eliminate this horrible disease is to not breed the
animals or their littermates who have it. When you breed a litter of puppies
you have no control over what the genes are going to produce sometimes. But if
you start with healthy genes you have a lot better chance of producing healthy
puppies.

is well bred
his sire is a Grand Victor.
