From Breeder's Advice:
" It is better to breed from a mediocre animal with a strong
pedigree than from a huge winner who came out of nowhere. Repeating
the breeding that produced the winning animal in hopes of breeding
another of equal quality, rarely bears fruition."

Well, not always true, e.g. Sel CH Karagin's Hoodlum of Castlehill and Can GV
Castlehill-Miterhaun Tuff Enough from the first breeding of GV Bungee and Can
GV Guido.
From the second breeding: GVX Castlehill's Tuff Cookie.

That was a great "click" of two beautiful animals.

I've also seen a litter of multiple champions that when repeated produced
nothing like the first litter! The point being there are no "sure things" when
it comes to breeding dogs.
