barb, i didn't get to go this year, either. BUT, in all honesty, if i had to
miss a national it soundslike this was the one to miss. you have judged the
national - i do not EVER recall anyone saying they were "bored" with your
judging. i think what tari and christine were trying to say was that the
procedure used this year, while the judge's choice, was not a procedure that
was
beneficial to either the spectator OR the dogs being judged. most of us go in
order to evaluate what is "out there" - as breeders, to decide where our
breeding
programs will head in the future. it is not to watch a dog stand for a great
length of time or walk. again, i wasn't there, but i really hope that i never
hear the word "boring" used in conjunction with judging at the national
again. it is very sad for the future of the breed.
