Not to be argumentative, but from the trailers I've seen,
I really don't believe Bolt is a GSD of any color. He is
either a shepherd cross or a smaller breed of some sort,
(perhaps terrier?). Look at his size in relation to the
hamster and the cat. If Bolt were a GSD, he'd be
HUMONGOUS compared to his little friends. But they
do not appear to be all that far apart in size. Plus, in
the scenes of Bolt with adult humans, he only comes up
to about their knees in height. Unless Bolt is a puppy or
a dwarf, that couldn't be a GSD.
But so what if he is a shepherd of some sort... even a
(GASP) white one? What then?? You can't stop Disney or
any other movie company from making movies featuring the
GSD breed. You can only educate the public about the breed
and how to make good and wise choices about acquiring a
dog as well as how to be responsible dog owners once they
have their dog. The rest is really out of our hands. So
why worry? That said, if you *must* worry about
Hollywood's effect on the general public, you might want
to go help out Chihuahua rescue. I have a feeling they're
gonna need it much more for their movie than GSD rescue
will need help from people seeing Bolt. :/
