Hello Shelia, 
Thanks for the email as posted today, March 02, 2007.  You may rest assured 
that I, along with other  Board Members of the GSDCA, will do everything in my 
power to resolve the issue at hand and to respond in a positive way to the 
wishes as expressed by the membership.  
Thank you for caring so much about our breed. and thank you Dawn for your 
efforts that never cease.  To add to your hope list:  I also hope that all of 
us, as members & breeders will analyze our  own personal agendas and make 
absolutely certain that we are not putting more puppies on the ground than 
there are reliable and loving homes for, in our  relentless journey to find 
that "super star" that will put our name in lights.   I also hope that each and 
everyone of us, as breeders, will take THIS to heart;  and understand that we 
are responsible for each and every puppy we bring into this world  throughout 
the life time of that puppy, and that we will check on them periodically, by 
contacting the purchaser.   If all of us took that as our oath I am wondering 
if there would be GS Dogs in shelters.

I wish to remind all members of the GSDCA board of directors who are on this 
list, that it is the desire of all club members here on this list that the 
membership of Andrew Hunte be rescinded as a result of the special meeting of 
board.
   
  As has been stated to the point of exhaustion until a few days ago, he is not 
a person who will benifit the club, nor does he have the breed's best interests 
at heart.
   
  Since his membership was accepted by the Board of Directors at the January 
meeting, our beloved club has suffered a loss of respect throughout the dog 
show world.  While we have surely made it clear that there must be changes in 
the by-laws to ensure that such a person as Hunte cannot seek membership again, 
his membership can only harm our club further if he is not removed from its 
roster.
   
  It is my sincere hope that after this weekend all GSDCA members will be able 
to say that while we let him in, he was not welcome, and he was not allowed to 
stay.
   
  Further, it is my hope that by the end of the year our annual ballot will 
include the opportunity for all members to vote for changes in the by-laws such 
that no person involved in the mass production, brokering, or selling of dogs 
will be able to seek membership.
   
  Beyond that, I hope all GSDCA members will take the time to analyze 
themselves and see if they are breeding too often and are possibily producing 
dogs at a rate that appears to be that of a mass producer of dogs.
   
  I will pray for resolution of these matters, and for our board to desire only 
what is best for the club and the breed.  Personal interests are not part of 
this.
